Where you pay via PAYMENT PROVIDER e.g. PayFast / Peach Payments / PayGate], we receive a transaction confirmation and basic billing details. We do not receive your full card number.

  • To process and fulfil your orders, including delivery and returns

  • To create and manage your customer account

  • To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and support communications

  • To send marketing communications, where you have opted in – you may opt out at any time

  • To comply with legal obligations under South African law

  • To improve our Store, products, and services through aggregated analytics

We will not use your personal information for any purpose incompatible with the above without your prior consent.

Payment processors: PayFast (Pty) Ltd– to process payments securely

Courier and logistics providers: WEGOTBATTERIES (PTY) LTD – to deliver your orders

E-commerce platform: Shopify Inc. – which hosts and powers our Store

Email and marketing tools: WEGOTBATTERIES (PTY) LTD – to send transactional and marketing emails (opted-in subscribers only)

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. All third-party service providers are contractually required to handle your information in accordance with POPIA and applicable data protection standards.

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or lawful instruction from a public authority.

7. Cross-Border Transfers

Some of our service providers (for example, Shopify / Mailchimp / Google Analytics) store and process data outside South Africa. When we transfer your personal information internationally, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection, including by entering into appropriate data transfer agreements. By using our Store, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred internationally for the purposes described in this Policy.

  • Marketing opt-in records: until you withdraw consent

  • Website analytics data: 26 months (aggregated and anonymised thereafter)

When retention is no longer necessary, we securely delete or anonymise your information.

12. Children’s Privacy

Our Store is not directed at children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
